HALITUS – EXPERIMENTAL FILM WORKSHOP

HALITUS is a film experiment workshop in which the participant will have complete freedom (with a help from a mentor) to make his/her own film. Through a seven-day process of film making, creative energies of participants will merge into an independent sphere, synergetic space and invisible laboratory. Participants will become explorers of a free territory that is unbounded by the predetermined approach to film and standard concept of film genre. The workshop will emphasize practical aspects of film making while encouraging individual involvement and reconceptualization of fixed notion of experimental, documentary, and everything in between.

All the material will be filmed and edited during the workshop and all the equipment will be provided by the organizers of the workshop, although participants may bring their own.

Number of participants is limited to 7.

The workshop will be held in Pazin as a part of the Festival Seven Days of Creation (09.-15.08.2015.). Everyone interested can register online on: http://goo.gl/forms/936EM82Peb.

Besides general information you will be asked to enclose either a film concept or motivational letter, or both.

Registration is possible till 01/07/2015 and results will be declared on 08/07/2015

Workshop presentation will be on the 15/08/2015 – final day of the festival.

Workshop fee is 500 HRK, in which is also included seven-day accommodation, breakfast and lunch every day.

Organizers of the workshop are Festival Seven Days of Creation and Kinoklub Zagreb. Mentors of the workshop are Lovro Čepelak (leader and mentor) and Zorko Sirotić (mentor).
